Hello and welcome.
As to your question... I guess most of us here are a passionate bunch... and once passion is involved, logic seems to be the first to go. It's like falling in love u see...
Affordability is subjective... some ppl earn 2k a month and have 2k disposable income a month... no need to pay for house, car, bills and etc...
Some ppl earn 8k a month yet only have 1k disposable income a month... after minus to pay house, car, bills and etc.
You might get the impression that most of us here is loaded coz we wear big name watches but its not the case.
We might save abit by abit or sell of some old watches to fund for new ones... yeah, I know some are really loaded here like those that owns so much property than they can wave a stick at.

But those are exceptions.
Most of us have to take care of family first... kids and wife being the top priority, then put away some cash away each month and wait till it's enough to finally buy that piece we've been aiming for... the harder it is to come by, the more it will be appreciated. For you to own a watch above 10k, all u need to do is to put away 350 a month for 3 years... and you have 12k+ to spend. And wether you can drop that amount on a watch will depend on how much you are in love with the watch.

Oh yeah... for everything else... there's always Mastercard.
