Delay gratification. Get hooked with luxury watches too early may have some impact on your financial planning. Try to grab one 'big brand' when you are really up to it. I have had all those that u mentioned, but it took me 8 years after out of uni to make it.

Well, i think thats true but a bit old school. You will not only have to work hard, but work smart and seize whatever oppurtinity which comes to you. Know yourself well, know your company well, know your industry and market well, so that you can see where you stand in say 5-10 years time. If career breaking through is not feasible for you, you may want to study how to let money make money for you, i know some people make a fortune from properties, stocks etc.
Also, people are biased and 'lunatic'. So dont use us as benchmark. I know people who spend 3-4 months of their income into watches.
