A brief write up on this watch:-
Diameter: 45mm excluding crown
Lug width: 24mm
Lug to lug: 51mm
Thickness: 13.6mm
This Orient Cal 469 40th Anniversary commemorative models was released in 2011. There are two models, one in black case (EM7F001B) and the other in stainless steel case (EM7F002B). Both models are based on the design of the King Diver series from the 70?s.
The stainless steel model is limited to 2000 pieces while the black coated model is limited to 1000 pieces.
The watch is water resistant to 200m and comes with an inner rotating bezel that is controlled by the crown at the 4 o’clock position. The bezel rotates in both directions and you can screw in crown to prevent the bezel from rotating.
The crown at the 3 o’clock position is used to set the date and time. This is also a screw in crown.
The screw in pusher at the 2 o’clock position is used to set the day. You need to unscrew the pusher first in order to set the day.
Anyone MWF members would buy the same watch for more than 1 unit ?
I really like to know if any watch connoisseur out there is as crazy as me?
First, the adventure of searching for this limited model is exciting where I have to travel around the AD to seek for the units, its really like a tresure hunt game.
Second, the feel of a Bell & Ross wannabe on my wrist of course a more affordable one
Third, the bracelet is thin and like a leather strap hug closely to my wrist which is very comfortable
Fourth, its a beauty and really make you more macho haha
Fifth, the thrill of bargaining for the same model improve from one unit to the other, so the last unit I got is the cheapest.
So you may ask why I buy three not more?
If I can see another I may consider though a friend of mine saw a few in Melaka AD.
Initially thought of for investment, for spares and finally for children when they mature, what a far sighted vision.
Anyway the damage is done my dilema now is how to explain to my wife, she may consider me a crazy fella.
Need some like minded members out there to give some advice on how to deal with wife, or can share your experience so that I am not the only kind here.
