Brutal decision.

Guys, not sure if this had been asked, if you had to make a choice and because it is a matter of utmost importance, that from your current collection of watches, you have to pick just one watch to keep for life, and forego the rest for a life and death situation, and no more future addition, just that one watch! Which would it be and why? Care to play. This is serious just like the hobby of horology. Which one?

looking at my limited collection, it would be the IWC Ingy Ceramic, as i think it can last the longest....

I will keep a Casio G-Shock, robust, reliable and LCD screen is big enough for my eye when I'm at age of 50 above, and best part is changing a battery is cheap compare to servicing a mechanical watch  :Cheers:

How can you ask a question like this  :o

I almost got a heart attack. The mere thought of it almost fainted me.

Joking aside. I have ponder on this question numerous time and each time I have no answer.

An easy answer would be my 1st serious watch. The one that my wife gave me. A truthful answer will be when I get down to 1 watch it won't stay "1" watch for very long.  Watches tend to have baby, don't you know ;)

Has to be this one which I have kept since 2008.Its got almost everything (to me at least)..chrono  for timing purposes,day/date for absent minded me,well made solid link bracelet,bright lume,super legibility.Wish it had a unidirectional bezel as well but then again you can'thave it all.It is a take-anywhere watch

Tony, u have no choice but must pick one pls. Does not matter. This is hypothetical life and death situation only. Just wanna see hoe everyone view their collection what it means to keep the one important watch, for sentimental reason or any other reasons. Cannot say sell all or u be disqualified :)

Dumb dumb me. Earlier I stupidly copy and paste your replies. Now I figured liao. Leong, nice choice. So u chose the Inge Ceramic cos u think ceramic last longest? Hmmm.. Fair enuff cos ceramic is light and hard but not really sure it's longevity though. Never mind cis I like the Inge ceramic. Thx

Hi Gabriel I think when u reach 50, long sightedness I think the Laco suits u better than the GShock ler cos digital quite difficult to see. Also at night no light, u press the button with trembling hands cos old d, so Laco better i think. Also the rule here does not dictate that u are gonna be poor when u choose that one watch, so, go on and pick a mechanical watch. Need not be battery powered. Also battery not cheap anymore, I changed the batt on my wife Tag, Renata cost way more than what I paid for years back :(

Waahhh u got PP Aquanaut. Nice nice. Good choice. Carry on with a brand so revered in watch collecting, the Patek, and Aquanaut is the sports range for active wear. Why not. Quite a cool watch I like. Keep for generations some more.
