Thanks for sharing.
The Pelagos seems to be a reasonable value proposition at this price range considering the specs:

Titanium casing and bracelet
Ceramic bezel insert with lume
Auto He Escape Valve
500m WR
Unique bracelet with floating diver's extension + Additinal rubber strap

Those prices are lower than what i have been expecting after converting from their swiss francs retail price.
Hope that it is true.

I have made enquiries with my local rolex

The price of Tudor Black Bay is quite accurate.

Steel is a thousand ringgit more expensive than leather one.  Also both come with OEM nano strap as shown in the ads.

I am saving my money for the Black Bay. It's truly good news if the price is as stated above. Hopefully, it wears as well (on my wrist) as it looks.... :Praying: :Praying: :Praying: Not sure about you guys but I'll be gunning for the one with SS bracelet. From the pics viewed so far, I think the watch may look a little awkward with the leather strap (no doubt a great looking piece of leather) because it leaves a rather large gap between the end of the strap and the watch case.

Good choice. Sure it will look good on you!
Im going to SS as well. Its more practical given the humid weather here.

Checked with them yesterday afternoon, and the girl over the phone said "out of stock".

The girl at the Pavilion Rolex AD says they have one piece, but it has been booked (maybe by one of you!!!!) and I was advised to leave my name on the waiting list (although I had done so like 2 months ago!!!!)

hence you are the 3rd person who prefers the pelagos..after me & bwee…. :mooning: :mooning: :Laughing_on_floor:
shall we ask for bulk discount?

Personal taste and preferences evolve over years, hopefully not 1 full circle otherwise it means we haven't learnt a single thing.

All I can say is to have a look at the actual watch first. Once you have seen the watch, take a step back, take a deep breath and decide if it is really for you or are you caught by the hype.

Most definitely, I can be very attracted to a watch from its pictures but when its on my wrist it may lose its initial appeal.
I've ended many times not buying watches which I was initially interested in based on their pictures. Sometimes its the thickness, the bulkiness, proportions, etc…

After disposing of every single watch I owned with ETA ebauches I was initially hesitant to buy yet another watch with an ETA/Sellita/Soprod but so far the watch looks really good and at the asking price, its still acceptable. I have a limit on the price I would pay for any watch with an ETA unless it has been heavily modified and improved.

All I can say is to have a look at the actual watch first. Once you have seen the watch, take a step back, take a deep breath and decide if it is really for you or are you caught by the hype.

yeah.. Most definitely have to molest the watch first before pulling the trigger. Will probably wait for the hype to die down first whilst lining the wallet.
