I think i will be crossing this 112 vs 000 bridge ..am enjoying all the different views here.
BTW, anyone here knows if there's difference in the intensity and longevity of the lume between the sandwich and painted markers?
In terms of lume, I see no difference between a painted dial or a sandwich dial, I guess they are same luminescent, be it painted or sandwich dial, the only difference between the 2 are the design of the dials.
May be I will share a lil bit of my PAM experience here.
I started with a Luminor Marina, PAM111G, Crown guard is a must,It comes with a painted dial and small second, back then I prefer to know my watch is ticking.

I don't really bother about the see tru caseback, because the movement got nothing to shout about, it's a Unitas movement afterall.

After that I moved on to the 3 days 1950 model, PAM312, very simple reason, the 1950 case and I love the brand, I want to own their in house movement.

Owning the PAM312 doesn't seems enough, I want something more, I want a dome crystal, so I flipped and bought a PAM233, I was thinking it's a perfect PAM back then, a thinner 1950 case with a very very nice dome crystal,P2000 handwind with 8 days power reserve, GMT function, nothing can beat it anymore.

But guess what,I wear my PAM111 more than the PAM233:) It's simpler, less winding and I don't have to adjust the date:)
therefore, I move back to base model, PAM390, very simple reason, cleaner dial, less is more

a comparison with a PAM112

and the PAM372, again a very simple reason, cleaner dial.(and of course it's a historically correct modern vintage piece, plexiglas, etc, etc)

We will always find a reason to get something we like, that's the reason why I like the brand so much,It's the passion to keep you looking for a perfect one. You will always find some differences in small little details, the fonts, the color, the hands, etc etc.
Like most of the sifus said,
luminor or radiomir, luminor marina or luminor base, manual or auto, sandwich or painted dial, pre-v case or 1950 case, the material, left hand or right hand, budget, etc. by slowly filling in the blanks, you will defintely find one which sing well on your wrist.
till then only you worry about the strap fever

just my 2 cents and hope this will help.Happy hunting.
cheers,
ck
