Tudor Heritage movement shots,

And yes, I would prefer a Valjoux movement over DD module.

Wow... seeing the movement shots, that's quite a let down.
Did not think that the movement would be so small compared to the case.
And the article did mention that the chronograph minute totalizers actually creeps instead of tick at a full 60 seconds?
Hobbs can confirm?

Yes it does creeps or move as the chronograph hand moves. The same with the Lemania 5100 and many other chronograph movement. It is not an issue with me. As for the module replacement or movement replacement, not really true. The movement and module can be serviced, but it is not easy. Many watchmakers do not want to spend the time to service the movement and module, so they suggest a full movement and module replacement. It is much easier for them.

Like you I have taken an interest in the Tudor Chronograph models. They are not that expensive in the pre-loved market, more so the ones with the hour bezel. The Units per Hour bezel seems more expensive. Not sure about the 'Tiger' dial......

I am liking this one. Useful (to me) hour bezel as can use to tell second time zone.

The Units per Hour bezel. Since I no longer need to time thing....

Not careful, I might see the Tudor collection grow...  :HammerHead:

these would be MUCH better choices over the THC. i've tried them on and really do like them but i'm still a Daytona person. can't seem to switch over to these Datetonas.

get the ones with Valjoux movements instead of the piggy-back models.

as Hobbit said, looks good in pictures but in person, i felt let down.

Yes, was pondering on ckng's 111, but no fund to pay cash so going for new pam zero with zero cost 12-month easy payment from AD. The thing about pam is even the AD don't know when the new zero is coming. Then saw the Tudor Heritage and did tried it on and feel right. With the big discount, it is way cheaper than zero and readily available.

Bro TT and Hobbit,
You guys are like walking 'Google'.

The advantage of not using valjoux, is that replica 7750 movements are readily available, giving higher chance of look alike heritage replica in the market. Although tudor is not really under much attack by pirates. Thats what I read somewhere.

Hopefully RSC can do a good job.

It is my first DD chronograph module but not my first DD. The Montblanc Big Date has a DD module as well. My watch guy can service the DD module as he is ex Omega and Omega does use the DD module (Speedmaster Reduce if I am not mistaken). So as long as I am in Taiwan, it is not an issue. However, I am sure TSC or RSC would be able to do it as well. They would not use the module if they were not confident of being able to service the watches and movement. I have faith in RSC and TSC after having used them and also having seen what they can do.

Some info on the DD:
"The Dubois-Depraz chronograph module is used by a number of watch manufacturers in their "high end" products. It is utilized by among others, Audermars Piguet in their Royal Oak Offshore and Glashütte Chronograph and in their Royal Oak Offshore Chronograph, Girard Perregaux in their 7000 Chronograph" - www.doxacms.com

From a far, it is a lot easier to spot a Panerai because of the crown guard. As for Tudor, it resembles Rolex too much and hence, hard to differentiate. For that, I would go for the PAM as there is a cult of followers and it stands out more than a Tudor for me.

PAM000, but I am a bit biased towards Panerai watches though. I have PAM000 and really really love it. So versatile.
