I have met some SIngapore risti and indonristi who own 00001 A-T, 0002A and 341 Egiziano. All of them are passion on horologies, life and food. Where I met them? We met at Singapore Rolex club GTG. We talk abt Rolex, panerai, AP n etc. We even make fun of 341 size and the owner dnt react like you guys..

Just wonder why our MYristis so kecik nafas.. Bcos of the debate on panerai thn u guys condemn all the member here?

This really make me think twice to get another panerai watches and classify myself as ristis... This is not the way and spirits of ristis is.. Pardon me for lousy england..Just my 2 cents view

Interesting and Well Said!
I suppose Malaysian Mristi are much more passionate than others... Hoho....

Bro Terence , not kecik Nafas . Cause we Risti all fashion people and like to collect junk ma , So I guess fashion watches and junk doesn't suit everyone in the forum right . So we have our own gathering Lor. It's not we don't wanna invite it's because the feedback was rather negative on the recent post . So some of Myristi wasn't that in favor of the reply  . Anyway I am just a member of Myristi and I am just replying on behalf bro.. No heart feelings ya

Holly cow... Didn't know my question led to another debate!!!

I really thought I over sensitive ... Didn't realise that's the truth...

If MWF thread offended Myristi n hurt the feeling of any Myristi
I wanna represent MWF to say sorry for that (before I get permission to represent)

Don't worry Myristi, all Mwf gtg still welcome Myristi and any watch lover to attend, be it at multi brand lover or single brand lover... High end or low end watches, vintage or new... Any skin Color... Wearing v neck or round neck t shirt...

I wanna take opportunity to say sorry to If there any Myrolek... ( on behalf of hobbit n endiku b4 their permission this time )

Peace !!!
We shd concentrate in watches n Let the spirit of vintage pam n other military inspired watch to die off - (it was made to carry out a mission - to attack !!!)

N get back to strap talk pls
If this lead to no way. I will lock the thread!

My latest custom made Ted Su Swiss Ammo strap on my PAM 320. Strap is made extra long to fit my 200mm wrists.

The flanking straps are the two Big Hornback alligator straps also made by Ted Su. Frikking dinosaur straps if you ask me! Still in their original protective buckle stickers.

Attended a Risti gathering just now. Even ristis in Sg read the controversial tread in mwf. Wow, hot discussion until 11pm. I think some singki risti will boycott mwf and tell others to boycott also. Not good sign!!!   :Blue:

Many said the t.s Endiku must also apologise.

Oh now they mad? Awwwww.......... So mad until there's venting and "heated" discussions nearly till sleeping time?

Oh lord, please Ekindu do something or else their next GTG, they really have to forgo their sleeping time and go on till the wee morning hours.

Gosh, I have seen so many Omega vs Rolex, AP vs PP threads over other forums and none so "over the top" as "I don't wanna play with you anymore", "I am going to tell my friends" childish reaction as this.

It's just a watch and just like your underwear, some may think its a fashion statement to have the brand name sticking out from your pants and some may think of it just as a tool to hold ur balls. Everyone is entitled to have their opinion. It's just you, yourself who chose to be so offended about it to wanna "play boycott"

Can you show us the link where these SG ristis demand Enkidu for apology?
That is no right or wrong to defend a brand but can be more mature way to handle afrerall we are adult here..

Wow... I guess we all can be proud since this thread has got the attention of the singapore ristis.
And it has also made it into viapaneristi.
It has yet to make it into paneristi.com... or maybe they knew but just kept quiet since it's all about the good things there...
I have a suggestion, since the thread has garnered so much attention, wouldn't it be good if ristis can defend their brand at that thread rather than demanding childish stuff like an apology?

Even if Enkidu does apologize (which I doubt he will)... what will that make ristis? Winners?  ::)

Reminds me of childhood playground scuffles... those "I don't friend u liao"...

Cmon guys... we're all adults here... if there's nothing intelligent to debate about or nothing factual to backup the claims... mind as well just stand back and let those with knowledge and information speak out...
Rather than demand for an "apology"

It is up to the moderators and owners of the MWF forum whether they want to be declared an anti-risti forum. Simple as that. If the ristis don't want anything to do with the MWF, mods and taikos; it's their business. Insults from the MWF is not going to help.

Some questions are so loaded, it is useless to even acknowledge or answer; like, "when did you stop beating your wife." The questioner has already made up his mind and any "discussion" just gives the troll a platform to hantam you. That the mods allowed such a thread to exist in MWF is telling.

Just to clarify your statement, I believe MWF is not an anti risti forum.
Some mods own up to 10 pams... even a critic has 2...
If ppl wanna start playing boycotting because of some opinions that are not in favour... then I welcome you to the real world.
Unless you are so loaded that you can dump loads of cash in front of you to give ppl for free... then even your fart smells nice.
But in the real world, there are always 2 sides... and there is always somebody who will disagree...
That's why we have forums or debates or whatnot...
Hell if the world population all have the same thinking and likes and dislikes, what's there to talk about when we yam cha?
Yes yes and yes... that makes for a boring world... don't you think?

The above post by sooncheng1990 is not too helpful in the sense that I am not sure if this is a real Risti resolution or just some Friday nite talk-talk and drink-drink between college mates who happened to be Ristis. I checked the other fora and it seemed "All Quiet On the Risti Front". Whatever it is, I guess I better choose my words extra carefully as I don't want this issue to be aggravated further.

It does not escape my attention that there seems to be fewer postings of PAMs and by the usual well known PAM lovers in the mwf since the debate ended more than a month ago (I think). Which is not really good for the forum since I am sure there are a lot of members who love PAMs and look at PAM pics.

Look, if my presence here really offend the ristis, then I will just stop posting here. No problem with me and it's really no real big deal.

What we had was just a debate, it should not end up in a situation where the members are split and risti GTG not being open to all members (like what I read in this thread above).

I don't think the mods and the owner should be dragged into this. The owner owns at least 3 PAMs, I guess the mods also own quite a few. The guy who invited me to this debate was also a mod and he owns perhaps a dozen PAMs. To me, the mods allowed the discussion because it started off as a genuine debate and discussion. What do you mean some questions are so loaded? It was a topic / proposition for the debate. And what do you mean it became a platform for troll to hantam? Did you follow the whole discussion?

Firstly I believe this forum is pro watches and is not pro or anti Panerai. To me personally I think it was an interesting discussion. Enkidu presence in this forum is most welcome as is anyone else. We are here to share knowledge, experience and the love for all things horological. It is great place to be to learn, share and even meet people who are of the same mindset (WIS) and even become good friends.

I followed that thread rather closely.  Even posted a reply or 2, to poke holes. Yeah, I was naughty.

But my memories about the thread was that it contains a myriad of information and solid opinions from a good number of owners/knowledgeable people/sifus.

I went back to read that thread again.  I think MWF should be proud.  And especially Ristians too.  What came out from a controversial statement (and some heated arguments) was a thread where one can learn so much about Panerai (and other watches).   In fact, if anyone were to ask me where to learn more about Panerai, I wont hesitate to guide them to that thread.

When that thread was still alive, i was in fact hunting my first Panerai.  Today? I am closer than ever in getting one.  I am not saying that the Panerai side won the debate there. Just highlighting an example where a noobie like me can learn, freely  about watches and from there on, make a telling move for my next step in watch ownership

Pick up any glossy, super duper expensive watch magazine today and all you get are photoshopped pictures and the usual `this is the best, this is a must buy' columns.  Visit the usual popular watch forums and in particular the subsection for a particular brand, and you'll see the usual wrist shots, the usual `oh so nice, oh so beautiful, oh i miss this, oh this is the best' comments. I am super proud that in comparison, a MWF thread can contain so much horological nuggets.

And now, if we have really reached a stage ( I agree with some of you, we need to verify if this is true) that there are people demanding an apology, and even to the extent of individuals  declaring they won't want to post here anymore, its really sad.

People wear watches. Its expected therefore to read frustrations, disappointments and sometimes even anger associated with a brand. LEts therefore move on to enjoy learning about watches and more importantly, lets move on to enjoy knowing the people owning these watches. I can't share enough how watches, MWF, etc, have brought me valuable friendships.

As the Joker once said..`Why SO serious?'

To Hobbitt + Pexus -hey, why were you guys so quick to write as though I am not posting here anymore? I only made a supposition "if my presence here realy offend the risti" and you guys started to compose an obituary for me. Don't think I actually declared I won't post here anymore...... ::) ::) did I?? We are not even sure the ristis are actually offended. Maybe they are basking in the golden spotlight now, knowing they are wearing fashion pieces, and hoping to strut down the fashion runway with Heidi Klum ogling at them.  ;D ;D

To Pexus -I am really so, so, so, so, so,so.......(x1000) disappointed with you. After all my headache arguing PAM is a fashion brand, you tell me you are now ever closer to geting a PAM. Maybe I did not hantam PAM hard enough. How could you?? Ask your conscience. OK, then I won't friend you anymore. I will also tell all my friends not to friend you anymore.  :mooning: :mooning: :mooning:

And you are now labelled an anti anti-risti...

Hey Chris,
What is it about horses and dancing? Why all the complicated poems?  ::) ::) BTW, you are not in the Ming or Qing dynasty anymore. Maybe it's time to get a Perpetual Calendar which tells which century you are in.

I know all these are OT. Takashi Pete (a.k.a The Vigilant Mod) will be deleting these soon I am sure.........

Have you dealt with Altamarea before? Is the company reliable? Seems a bit pricey in Euros. Has some stuff I'd like to get - so I may try him out.

I get a lot of Ted Su stuff because it's easy to deal with him. Ships to Malaysia, takes paypal and has good communication. Of course his stuff is real quality work!

I'm looking for more exotic stuff these days. Does anyone know a good strap maker that does stingray, shark and snake skin (boa, cobra - patterned scales) straps? 24mm to 20mm lugs? Has good reliability rep and ships to Malaysia?
 ???  ???  ???

edit:
Has anyone done business with thewatchboys before? Are they reliable?

Is a promise to Hong Kong originated from the China's Communist Party that, after the transfer of sovereignty over Hong Kong from the United Kingdom to China, Hong Kong's social practice, economy structure, life style shall remain the same without interuption from the mainland.

Like what Takashi has mentioned, life goes on as usual.
