a watch shop which is not rolex ad offers me a pretty good deal, how can i make sure it is 100% new ? been heard that some shop replace the engine or it might be preowned. .any specific methods? thanks!!!!
1) 100% new - like most MWF members suggest, get from AD, then can be sure 100% new.
2) Replaced engine - some shops who have dubious background do that, the result is a "franken watch" a mixture of every other watch parts.
Pre-owned is also known as 2nd hand.
3) Any specific method - to what? If to determine the watch is 100% new, see answer in #1.
Specific method to ensure it is not a Franken watch, open up the back and have a friend or a person who have strong background in Rolexes to assess the watch and give feedback.
