by yourself, you cant. Only way is to buy from an AD or else you just have to trust the seller.
Your ONLY job in this world is to make sure that you are happy

Go for AD. If it is a dealer, ask around. Ref is very important. There are some grey and individuals that you can trust. I have bought two pieces new from a dealer because he is referred by some friends. Good customer service and they threw in freebies like cloth pouch and mags.

my opinion is to look for the serial number, newest rolex serial number i've seen starts with G and mix of alphabet and numbers behind it,correct me if im wrong
check also those stickers that a new watch should have,on the bracelet and behind,on buckle and case lugs...if no stickers around,it MIGHT have been repolished and selling as new
mind my poor english...

1) 100% new - like most MWF members suggest, get from AD, then can be sure 100% new.

2) Replaced engine - some shops who have dubious background do that, the result is a "franken watch" a mixture of every other watch parts.
Pre-owned is also known as 2nd hand.

3) Any specific method - to what? If to determine the watch is 100% new, see answer in #1.
Specific method to ensure it is not a Franken watch, open up the back and have a friend or a person who have strong background in Rolexes to assess the watch and give feedback.
