The watch dial is absolutely beautiful....perfect in fact but the date window spoilt it completely...
another area of improvement is a longer second hand that reaches right to the edge of the dial and curved downwards like the GS second hands

My heart just got snagged when I saw her pic and was mesmerised by her tropical tan. There's a twist in her name, Anti-Choc, which actually means Anti-Shock in French. Born in the The Sixties, she still has sharp facial features with luminous arabic numerals and telemetre scale. Her heart beats strong on manual winding but I have issues with the chrono.

PS - If I may ask the sifus here, would a vintage watch's chrono get affected by the rough and tumble of long distance delivery?

1. The case look super clean so probably a polish or re-cased. Of course there is chance this maybe a new old stock

2. Being from the 60s so it probably spot a Venus movement. The company gone out of business long time ago. New replacement parts are sometime hard to come so the servicing watchmaker might use some old parts.

It haven't been service at all.

I would concern more about water tightness than the movement itself. Reason being the dial is the major attraction of this watch. The moisture in our country would easily ruin such a delicate dial.

Please have someone competent to service the watch as most watchmaker in Malaysia put no effort in taking care of vintage piece.

Don't know actually. Sold it off after about a year or so having it. Regretted selling it. Always like the submersible, although it is one of the least liked watches in the Panerai range.

Thanks Tyler. Much appreciated. I only have the Italian vendor's words that they're all original parts and I believe him, albeit gullible I may be. The watch has been serviced by the vendor prior to delivery. He did caution me that it's not waterproof anymore which I understand, being a vintage piece.

The irony is that he said it could have taken some shocks during the flight. But I just realised the watch is "Anti-Choc"!

Haha. Anyway, he kept asking me to keep him appraised of the situation. I decided to wear the watch to work today and tested the chrono after letting it run for some time. Good news, it works!

Hope you can share with me a reliable reference for a watchmaker able to service vintage watches. Thanks again.

Very nice diver bro......the screwdown crown at 9 o'clock is definitely a conversation starter.... detachable bezel is also a great addtion. with water resist at 1000 meters, it can even be used for saturation diving, the likes of offshore oil and gas diving works.

Pairing it with office clothes is certain to turn some heads....
