Initially i thought of a two page comparison but.. to cut it short, go for a sub (the blue pill). The rest of the forum member will love you  hahah : The MM is like the red pill.

quote from matrix..  Morpheus: This is your last chance. After this, there is no turning back. You take the blue pill - the story ends, you wake up in your bed and believe whatever you want to believe. You take the red pill - you stay in Wonderland and I show you how deep the rabbit-hole goes.

It bloody deep leh the hole 600m, 1000m, spring dive Grand Seiko.  :'(

dude, you sounded like Cypher wanting to go back to the Matrix.

I got my LLD when i first browse around this forum. The pictures were absolutely poisonous. If i had seen the MM300 first, i think it would be a whole different matter now but then again i have no regrets as the LLD can be worn in different circumstances. One of my beaters.

I feel that i'm all alone sometimes when it comes to wristwatch topic. I think the only people who could understand my dilemma are you guys in this forum. :Blue: So guys, please help me pick one.

1. Seiko MM300
2. Longines Legend Diver ND

My heart tells me to go for MM300 but my head tells me to go for LLD. Please help  :Praying:

Owners of Seiko MM300, will servicing the watch be an issue?

Choose only MM300  , its service just send back to Japan, no fuss at all.

LLD!?! Just too generic, at least to me.

How is the LLD too generic?  It is one of the most unique diver designs out there  ???

I personally like the macho design of the MM300 but I think its harsh to describe the LLD as "generic".  I do consider the LLD to be quite gorgeous.

It could be I fancy about the monobloc casing. So most of the screw down case base diver will seem normal to me.

But in term of dial design and it's overall retro touch, yes, I do agree that LLD is quite unique.

Ok I think I see what you mean.  From a technical and engineering perspective, the MM300 is head and shoulders above many other divers and it comes with a very desirable inhouse movement (8L35) while the LLD uses the ETA 2824.  I do think the LLD has a very desirable dial design and the retro feel is very commendable.

Lucky for me to still manage to get a SBDX001/MM300 from Japan. ETA should be in 1 - 2 weeks.  :Dancing_banana:

wow this threat is ancient. Not sure if i gave any update but i have since bought the MM300 and never looked back at LLD or any longines watch for that matter. The seiko MM300 is the ultimate diver for me.
