How long does delivery usually takes?

You need to pay for GST 6% if the total purchase amount (item + shipping fees) more than 500MYR.

Depends. If lucky customs just refer to declared value. However, some may do a quick check on the item and quote the MSRP price. For example Seiko JDM models - they may use the MSRP from Seiko's website as reference. Hence it is important that you bring with you the emails from the seller to prove to them that you got the item at a lower price

What about if purchase a pre owned and trying your luck to negotiate lower from declared value which had also included shipping and handling fees, etc on top of the watch price?

Secondly does anyone have any experience where they already paid the 8% tax on top of watch price if buy from Japan and when in customs here, will we be double taxed and on top of this 8% or can this be "taken out " from the final calculations ?

If you buy from reputable Japanese internet merchants, your price should be net of the 8%

I asked the seller if they can declare the item lower than 100 usd and said is possible. Will i be able to dodge paying the the gst? Or will this cause problem with customs?

you are aware that if you buy insurance it will be on your lower declared value which you are using to reduce your tax.
that means if the watch is lost in delivery, you can claim what you declared the value only and you may not have enough compensation to get your self a replacement watch.

KLIA clearance normally depends on your luck, I have brought many pieces in with no issues; but have had checks done on some motorbike parts (another hobby) that was imported locally. Not all of my packages got tax. Only those which is screen for random inspection custom stop for inspection then 6% is required. I got big box of item which pass and small envelopes which got tax. So size does not matter.

I thought they will impose 6% on the declared value for anything above RM500?

Bought online, sent thru EMS. Need to pay customs 6%. If posted through normal tracking might be able to avoid but EMS is more thorough and will surely have more valuable items.
