If you appoint pos Malaysia, thru them but if you collect yourself, thru customs directly. I prefer via customs as you can negotiate the final GST to be paid. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

However, some may do a quick check on the item and quote the MSRP price. For example Seiko JDM models - they may use the MSRP from Seiko's website as reference. Hence it is important that you bring with you the emails from the seller to prove to them that you got the item at a lower price

Thanks bro. What about if purchase a pre owned and trying your luck to negotiate lower from declared value which had also included shipping and handling fees, etc on top of the watch price?Secondly does anyone have any experience where they already paid the 8% tax on top of watch price if buy from Japan and when in customs here, will we be double taxed and on top of this 8% or can this be "taken out " from the final calculations ?Thanks
the tax is 6% on your declared value unless you don't have an invoice then they will put the value for you for the item after they research. Not all of my packages got tax. Only those which is screen for random inspection custom stop for inspection then 6% is required. I got big box of item which pass and small envelopes which got tax. So size does not matter.
I have a question:If the watch is considered a gift. Hence no price tag, can GST still be imposed?
