Read the same article this morning and thought of sharing it here too, but you have done so. Have also seen many so-called WIS whom dissed Rollies for whatsoever reasons ("too expensive", "marketing gimmick", "no complications", "no longer a tool watch", "moved on from the pretentious Rolex culture", "yuppies and wannabes only", yada yada); but having dabbled with vintage Rollies (and the piece worked beautifully decades on) and experiencing their great customer services, I have the highest respect for the brand. They ain't where they are by resting on their laurels.
There was another point in the article about a genuine WIS must-have, which was to try out the Speedy. Also agreed with that point.
