Just read this article from hodinkee and definitely same with Ben on point 2. Not Respecting Rolex Enough.

you may find many more expensive or higher end finishing, haute horology brands better but for me Rolex and Patek always top.

anyway check it out.

Read the same article this morning and thought of sharing it here too, but you have done so. Have also seen many so-called WIS whom dissed Rollies for whatsoever reasons ("too expensive", "marketing gimmick", "no complications", "no longer a tool watch", "moved on from the pretentious Rolex culture", "yuppies and wannabes only", yada yada); but having dabbled with vintage Rollies (and the piece worked beautifully decades on) and experiencing their great customer services, I have the highest respect for the brand. They ain't where they are by resting on their laurels.

There was another point in the article about a genuine WIS must-have, which was to try out the Speedy. Also agreed with that point.
Watch hobbyist @ andywristwatches.blogspot.com. Current faves in my collection :

Rolex | Omega | Bell & Ross | Panerai | Seiko | G-Shock |

Yes, fully agree.

Especially,  you understand them more by checking their vintage piece.  A good watch must prove themselves over a long period of time.

Rolex is certainly one of them.
