You can't go wrong with any Submariner or GMT Master.

If you are going to be flipping it or see yourself flipping it sometime in the future, better get one of the usual suspects - 116610LN, 116610LV, 116710LN, 116710BLNR. My first Rolex piece was a Datejust, then along the way I got the Submariner and Explorer 2. Submariners are very easy to flip, I dare say.

If I get to start the hobby all over again, I know that I would start off with 114610- that was a JB classic and I won't have to be troubled with changing the dates every now and then, and worrying about not changing the dates during the pantang-time. I find myself looking at this piece more and more over time, all pun intended

My first choices would be A. Lange & Sohne and Patek Philippe.

Rolexes are gonna drop in price together with the currency. Maybe a good time to buy a Rolex. You can haggle now.

U mean the official RSP will also be reduced? Is it also possible to haggle on popular model, eg. Submariner or gmt?

Quite unlikely to get for discounts for the highly demanded models such as Submariner, GMT Master and Daytona. There is usually a waiting list and so the ADs are not motivated to offer discounts.

Used ones will drop. Simple supply and demand. AD for new unlikely.... But they too might change their prices. If ppl buy outside Malaysia they won't be able to sell. Liquid markets don't have a chance for arbitrage

For value wise, Rolex/Hublot/AP
For stylist, IWC/B&R/Panerai.
