If you want to be safe I would go for a Rolex. A Rolex is a well balanced watch. In gaming terms I would say that Rolex has agility (movement), strength (case and material) and magic (brand name) that is strong in all categories.

Rolex, in my opinion:
Movement: 7
Case and Material: 8
Brand Name: 8.5

I prefer JLC because I believe JLC is:
Movement: 8.5
Case and Material: 6.75
Brand name: 7

It kind of depends on what you value in your watch. Movement to me is the most important feature - which is why I'll never buy a Tudor Black Bay = ebauche. Some people prefer the steel of Rolex because it could get banged up and still produce precise time (tool watch).

No matter the case, enjoy your watch

I was so admire looking at those wearing Longines watches since I was very young.... don't ask me why (Longines doesn't as popular as Tag & Omega during that time, but I never had another thought on another maker at all from that time until my pocket was ready for one). Gotten myself a pair of Longines as first luxury watches along with the "thinking" of it'll be my ONLY watch (ehm, ehm ) ....... but no more after 2-3 years, "my thinking" was obsoleted and I started to think about one after another... and move on ....... any of you had the same "thinking of the only luxury watch during your first luxury watch"?

Depends what motivates u. Eg; the 5 matchsticks would be highly recognisable if that's what u r after.

Hublot & AP may appear loud but then I doubt many non-WIS really know much bout them so it's kinda safe if u wanna stay low profile.
