Hello,

1st, I would like to welcome you to MWF and do hope you enjoy your stay here.
As for the complaint against the merchant, I hope that both of you can settle the differences amicably.
As no money have changed hands, there's no crime being committed.
It could be just an honest mistake like the seller said and after this experience, I am sure the seller will double or triple check future posts.

Sadly, seller has not updated the ad yet. RM15,888 is a steal for this watch. The seller is in the town where I live and I too am tempted to walk into the shop and ask for that price  ;D

But RM20,500 is not a deal at all considering you can get new for just slightly more from another dealer. Moreover, M serial is not made in 2012 but could have been sold then, or it could have been an open card and someone just dated it recently. Wonder what RSC would say about an M serial dated in 2012 ???

Thanks, Hanz, I think you are a very kind man in real life. But, I am more in favour of dpkong's implication, you know what I mean. I would have bought a brand new one if I could afford, but, on a shoe string budget & 3 generation of mouths to feed, pre-owned is favourable.

I am not clear as to the X series meaning in relation to year made. Can anyone be kind enough to explain please? Thank you.

That advertisement is misleading and the administrator should censure the trader.

A mistake has been made. Looking at it, its just not right to 'write off' the seller at this stage. Lets give an opportunity to the seller to correct and improve his image. A balance view must be provided for before the conclusion.

Till now, the seller must be too busy to 'cross-check' on this feed back.

But then, the buyer has every reasons to be annoyed and frustrated. Good or bad, treat this as one of the buying/selling experiences

Ahem.

I would have to agree that the advertisement is misleading IF all his ads seems as such.
This could just be a one off mistake.
For the general info, MWF does not make anything (in monetary sense) by allowing merchants or private members posting items for sale here.
So, buyers and sellers must both do their due diligence before closing any deal.

The Mods does sweep thru the for sale posts looking for some mistakes in specifications and/or some other descriptions on the watch.
As for prices, there is no way the mods will know if it is a mistake or that it is a good deal.

But if this so called "mistake" happens more than it's suppose to, then of course there will be action taken.

Thank you.

Just to clarify.. I believe the seller made a mistake on the price to sell but no one can force him to sell at the wrong price.

As to certain serials being made in certain years, the internet is full of it so no point to repeat. M is generally thought to be dated to approximately 2008 as year made.

Is the serial number 7 or 8 digits total? It's possible that some slow selling models like the solid gold or platinum models to sell slower.

Sound like a mistake, but, quite tortoise like response & no public statement.
