[WTS] –MacLaren Mercedes Tag Heuer Limited Edition Calibre S Chronograph
Up for sale is a rare Tag Heuer Calibre S in very good condition. This piece is a high end hybrid electro-mechanical limited edition issue. This was introduced to commemorate the MacLaren Mercedes F1 team and driver, Lewis Hamilton.
The Calibre S movement was introduced for commercial sale in late 2007 after two and a half years in development. The movement uses more than 230 components, as opposed to 30 to 40 in a traditional quartz movement. It is a true “in-house” movement and the only quartz movement assembled by TAG Heuer.
This limited edition comes with a dial in the familiar grey of the MacLaren Mercedes Formula 1 team and accented by the recognisable red of Vodafone.
It is a very rare piece that is hardly seen in the market. As it is a discontinued limited edition series, it is a model that is sought after by collectors.
