Question Panerai PAM00287 Strap
« on: June 19, 2013, 10:21:16 PM »
Hi there,

I came across a PAM00287 Panerai Black Seal. It has a black alligator strap. The thing is the stitching on the front of the strap is almost black (bit grey blue but matching the black colour of the strap) but the stitching is white at the back of the strap which is also black in colour. I notice about 4 stitch at the back has the same colour of the stitch in front and then the rest in white; therefore I concluded maybe the thread is one piece but has 2 parts with different colour; one black on the front of the strap and white at the back.

Is this common in panerai watches?

Pls help....

Hello,

Is it possible for you to post some photos? I think it would be much easier if the forum members to comment if they could see what  you mean.

You might have a seen a Panerai with a third party strap (not the original strap from factory) which is very common among Panerai watches - even more so than others.

With third party straps, anything goes.

The ori strap is black aligator with white stitches on both the front and back. Well, there are plenty 3rd party straps around.
