Punctuality vs no of watches you owned
« on: June 03, 2013, 11:36:59 AM »
So you have a lot of watches, always demanding an accurate and COSC certified watch.

How often are you punctual?

In Japan  their punctuality is consistent, whereas in India its challenging

Yet we have both biggest watch manufacturers in the world from these 2 countries

Over here our common observation is at a wedding reception

Lets have some fun honest forum about punctuality

Myself may be 75 % punctual in all appointments

What about you?

Punctuality is the most basic thing in business world.  It to show your sincerity in doing business.  I always punctual in fact always 10-20 mins earlier that the appointment time. It's nothing to do with how many watch you owned, BUT is the attitude and also the respect to time and the people you meet.

Always punctual for golf, for business meetings and for family matters. Always late for wedding dinner functions (because everybody else is late, feel like a fool if there early!!), for drinking sessions with kawan-kawan. A good watch with COSC is useful, don't want to be late or early depending on the occasion!! ;D

Brother

Never known there is a Malaysian SIRIM time, learn something new today.

Is it equivalent to Swiss COSC?

I think for another 100 years our culture of wedding reception punctuality will not change even if all the guest wear COSC Rollie

SIRIM time does not equivalent to COSC

SIRIM time is similar to atomic time tracking - Malaysia version hence the name SIRIM

I disagree with you. Even though in wedding dinner, we could make it punctual. Have you ever attend a wedding dinner in Ipoh?? They started on time. This is another culture to follow by those in KL, Johor, penang..... If everyone play their part, we could have the dinner start on time....Sometimes is the wedding organiser fault, they just want to wait for few late comer and drag the whole time. And subsequently.....become our Malaysian bad culture. Malay, Chinese and Indian wedding diner, most of them are not puncture.... Bad habit that should be fixed.

In Hong Kong, up to 20 years ago, the food for the wedding dinner reception is usually served on time, as the hotels or restaurants charge high overtime rates!! Wonder if it's still the practice there??

Making customer wait is the deadliest fault made. IF customer make u to wait 30 mins, is your responsibility to wait. IF I would be your customer, your company would not make any single cents business from me, BUT will get my complain letter, even though your collegue is the owner.
