Should I Refurbish My Old Seiko?
« on: March 28, 2010, 03:33:41 PM »
Hi,

Should I send my old 1990s watch to Seiko service center to refurbish the watch i.e. replace the crown and get a exact (or matching)  strap?

yeah man, you should. for sentimental sake. i am trying to refurbish my first auto watch; my orient. still in the SC cause they said nomore parts but will try to dig deep for me.

think with seiko's tank like build quality...one refurbhishment would last you for years to come.

There is also another problem. The watch is in olive green color. If I can't a suitable strap (best if they have the original strap), no point refurbish it as it is weird to wear to common colors strap.
