I am just happy to get this watch back from my watch guy. It is a simple, honest diver in the Seiko SKX031. I have been looking for this watch for sometime now (for a project) when I came across this piece, strapped on a friend's wrist. I asked about it, and he (literally) took it off his wrist and gave it to me. How awesome is that.
But that is not the end of the story. The watch has been with him since he started his working life as a marine biologist. The watch has been with him through thick and thin, working on producing fish that can live in the worst of conditions. Why? To allow fish to live in the most inhospitable places on earth and feed the hungry. How cool is that? Low key guy, one of the youngest guys to become a professor in this part of the world. Talk about provenance.
Also a low key WIS, with a collection that will make many of us green with envy. Anyway, enough about him, the watch, post service.

Well used... and well loved...

The bracelet is too short for me, so I am using a Nato. Did not know that the lug width was 22mm...

As for the project... I will update once I decide if I will proceed....
