Once in a while , i make comments like "Nice JLC" or anything that i find interesting , to strangers , clients , business associates and so on.
I met a girl with a Ulysses Nardin before , and it was really easy to start a conversation with her . (The bigger problem is that i don't remember her name , but her watch) I tell my buddies she's the girl with the Ulysses Nardin .

Isn't it a good conversation starter?

LOL is this what you use to talk to girls at the bar?

Not sure if its appropriate to wear your power time piece at the bar .
Depends on the time though , i don't wear my sayang watches after 10pm

Aren't sayang watches supposed to help you catch that good looking sayang?

I saw a tall and larger sized uncle buying some books some time ago, and he had a Big Pilot on, and I've always thought those were simply too big. He had the hand/wrist size to pull it off really nicely, but I stopped myself from saying anything cos I felt it would be quite awkward complimenting another fella about the size of his hands...

I'd be more worried about the person commenting on my hands rather than the one commenting on the watch....

EWWWWW!

Depends on how much she knows about watches & also depends on what watch is that "sayang" watch.
If its a Lange or GO , i bet she will go "what is that?" ..
If its a PAM or Rolex , yeah it will be probably work on most girls .

Anyway , why should we wear a nice watch to impress women?
It should be the other way round .

How does that work? Wearing a good woman to impress the watch? Or do you mean women should wear a nice watch to impress men?

That said, I think I would be more impress by a girl who can recognise A Lange or GO.

I've been known to strike up a conversation with a stranger over a nice watch. BUT only works if he's a WIS... if he's just someone who bought the watch on a whim or cor looks only... he's not going to be much of a conversationalist when it comes to watches.

How to tell unless you've talked to him?
