watch repairing (shocking experience)
« on: March 19, 2013, 05:53:04 PM »
Just to share some info.

Went to a [Name removed - Mods] today, at 1MonthKiara,
[Name removed - Mods]

The owner of the repair house is kind of hard to deal with. i went there bringing my Laco for repair as it's over winded , the owner never even open up my watch caseback and check on the kind of movement, he straight away quote me for replacement and repairing of rm 850.

I was shock by his professionalism, at least he open up my caseback and check the kind of movement, and what's the issue with my watch.

I've ask for better price, and say that i don't need the watch to be service, only need to replace the sprung, he say, he will not do replacement only job.

Maybe i'm still fresh in this area, I don't know how it goes about, but I've bring the watch to another shop as well, they open up my caseback and check the movement type, then they quote me.

What a shock with the service provided by them.

BTW, any sifus can recommend me to watch repair on my Laco, it's a swiss movement.

Thanks for reading.

Take the hint from him and take your business elsewhere. Arrogance like this usually means business is "too good" here. He probably has too many watches in the repair queue already. With such an attitude, any repair you do here will be rushed, slapdash and probably you won't like the results.

It is a policy of MWF to not mention names of any shops.
