With the budget of rm1~3k is there any reputable German watch for my daily rough usage. Appreciate towards all reply. Thank you.

Have you browsed a local watch shop chain that specialises in German and Russian watches? They have outlets in 1-Utama, Tropicana City and Pavillion. Quite a few brands there that might suit your budget. Good Luck!

Stowa is great too. It's available only through mail order though unless you want to go to Germany.

Damasko and Stowa pops up on my mind.

However, you might to stretch your budget a bit for the Damasko (Angpao money).

having owned a Steinhart (just sold it), and having not seen an actual Stowa live, i'd say based on pictures and hearsay, the stowa trumps the Steinhart in quality as the Steinhart pilot i had had uneven lume applied and less refined brushing patterns on the case so if you have the budget, go for the Stowa!

For your budget of RM 1-3K, those 'German' watches come with Swiss ETA ebauches….

For a true German watch with German in-house movements, you are looking at only a handful of brands e.g. Lange, Glashutte, Nomos, Lang & Heyne, Dorneblueth, etc whose cost starts at minimum base five figures.

Go for Sinn, their cases have a patented technology that excludes air from inside the case. makes the oil last longer. Although it is an ETA movement, they changed the escapement to DLC coated types which personally, i have seen requires no oil and zero maintainence on the balance and escapement which is the most important part of the watch.

Yes you are right I have the same experience with Steinhart Ocean Black, the DLC peeling off and the lume not even. The bright side is the watch is very affordable

Stowa will definitely be a good choice. Here's my Stowa Marine Original Series. Very well made and finished considering the price point.

Is a nice German watch too

up your budget abit and get the Sinn 857 from our member here. It's a very reasonable price and one hell of a robust watch.
