curious on this statement - the watch is eligible for a MOVEMENT OVERHAUL ONLY provided the movement did not suffer any major damage from usage and not requiring any replacement parts.

doesnt a movement overhaul require replacing parts?
Movement overhaul means disassembling, cleaning, assembling and lubricating. No parts change.

As far as i know JLC is doing something similar.

Would be great if they did.

I bought 2 three months back.  its's 2 years with another 1 year once you register online
