Railmaster - being discontinued?
« on: February 04, 2010, 08:57:06 PM »
went in to both the Omega Boutique in Raffles and Ion today trying to have a look at the S/S Omegamania Men's ring.

Funny that it's not in both of the outlets order and stock list although it's in the catalogue.

So with nothing better to do, might as well slap something on the wrist to have some "look see look see"

The AT was a real beauty.. both inside and out but sadly a bit too dressy for my scruffy look. More interested in the Railmaster.

Enquired the SA if there were any plans my Omega to equip the Railmaster with the 8500 calibre. He told me that they are not ordering any more Railmasters because there are none to be supplied.

The range would be scrapped soon and discontinued. Better buy it now if i really want it.

So the thing that came to my mind is he BS-ing me and trying to hit his sales quota for CNY or is he telling the truth.

Anyone here have any info bout this? Anyone here heard anything?

the Railmaster XXL is much bigger at 49mm diameter. I like the chronograph version.

yeah but for the price you pay for it and sheer pre-owned value... i would rather get a 005

it's more or less the same size with a sub second hand.

tried it on but the lug ends protrude way beyond my wrist. not a fashion which i am keen on taking up.

from WUS the pre-owned railmaster prices are quite attractive.

would definitely keep my eye out for one when my wallet permits
