Maurice Lacroix Pontos S
« on: December 22, 2012, 10:02:38 PM »

I have been reading about Maurice Lacroix on the internet. Like its sleek and elegant design, own in house movement prodcution. However, it's just base on source from the internet. I'm interested in getting a Pontos S -- a diver watch from ML. I actually like the GMT model too but it's a bit pricey for me at the moment, will save it for next target. Do anyone wearing ML now and any comment about the watch in terms of AD, discount and watch quality?

love the rotating inner bezel and solid backcase,
7750 is a very reliable workhorse movement!! (cost of maintenance is not as high as those in-house)...

The price is about 1k cheaper if you get it from amazon. I am still waiting for my Invicta Pro Diver Automatic bought from Amazon to arrive here first before I do any second purchase. :Dancing_banana:

Just got this today! Didnt really plan to get it but when walking pass an AD this model really caught my eye. Especially as i was looking for a watch with orange in it. the first thing that caufht my eye was the strap. while it is normally not associated with maurice lacriox i was instantly drawn by the bright orange colour that really matches the orange on the dial.

what really surprises me was the inner unidirectional dial that rotates with the pusher and not by moving the bezel as per normal.

all in all very happy with it.

ps: my phone camera sux but the orange in the strap really matches and is much brighter than whatbu see. the watch also comes with the metal strap free if u wanna change. i dont think the ones in kl have this option.

Guys,

wanna ask some Maurice Lacroix owners for some servicing tips. I'm very new to this brand and since i purchased my watch overseas, didn't get a chance to ask about Malaysia.

Where do you guys send your watch to service? Maurice Lacroix official website states: DKSH Luxury & Lifestyle (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd at Menara Keck Seng, but when i google that company its more of a marketing company than a watch company, so i'm abit confused. Although it does state they help watch companies expand their services overseas, i'm just curious if we can approach them directly. (Mods as this is a service center company and not an AD company i assume that i can post their name directly, pls edit if this violates rules and regulations)

Do you guys send it to that company to service? Or send it to the AD you purchased it from?
Finally have any of you purchased accessories for this brand before? I was thinking of buying another NATO strap for the Pontos S i got and was wondering if i could go to DKSH straight away and order one.

Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Regards,
Primus

Primus,

I bought a ML wrist alarm many years ago (around 2002) and it had a sizeable piece of dust inside the sapphire case back. I discovered this about a week after purchasing the watch. I immediately brought it to ML's service centre at Menara Keck Seng and the technician cleaned it for me without any question and I collected it right after lunch (about an hour later).

Nice!! Surprisingly Orange color is the most expensive price compare to red, blue and silver on ama***.com. The stripe is nice but the metal bracelet also looks awesome on hand.

PRIMUS: ML should come with International 2 years warranty, so it's not a problem to send it there?
