« on: December 12, 2012, 01:59:30 PM »
Hi MWF netizen!

Just wondering if anyone heard of this brand Carlo Cardini before? Any good/bad review?

p/s: I noticed most of the post in this section is about luxury brand. Apologies if I posted in the wrong section.

I think it is akin to those watches made by Roscani and such. Havent heard of reviews from those brands so a bit difficult to comment on it

I could be wrong but these watches would not be made by the brand names but outsourced to the many HK, China, Singapore or even Malaysian factories using Asian copies of ETA or a Miyota or Seagull movt, etc..
same as those fashion watches Gc, Emporio Armani, Guess, Fossil, Ellesse, Bonia, Roscani and those funny brands in those credit card promotion flyers or MLM ..all in the same boat…

Most of these watches sell on their design and are popular with teenagers who want to match the watch with their outfits.. when they become WIS they'll stop getting the stuff.

U can have a watch with ur name as the brand name if you have enough orders...
Go to Petaling Street and you can find lots of all kinds of names besides the fakes..

Personal taste and preferences evolve over years, hopefully not 1 full circle otherwise it means we haven't learnt a single thing.

Watches that fall under this category are relatively expensive...fashion house as well as those local "rather ridiculous Italian sounding names". No, I am not making fun of these watches...but if you were to look at the quality and effort in producing one, it is definately waaaay overpriced.

Questionable movement inside, colour will fade especially if its gold or whatever plated, etc...

Yes, if someone were to earn RM900 a month, it can be a luxury brand...but with RM900, its better to spend it wisely on other things...and if its a watch that is high on the list, get one from proper manufacturers like Alba, Casio, Q&Q etc.

Just my personal opinion. Cheers!
