looks ok for the outer look, but unsure about the movement until open up and match the movement number with the SOSC paper :)

Ok , is there anymore tell tale sign that I should look out for . I guess he is quite responsive to my request for the side by side pix of the watch n paper , mayb I can get him to open up the back case.

How should a genuine movement for this Pam to look like ?

how sure are you he's gonna send the real thing ?
if it's a shop (jeweler/pawn shop), I'll take my chances, else I don't think you should.  :Blue:

Clearer pic of the case back would help. At the moment, does not look too crisp. Maybe it is the photo, maybe not. Buy the seller. Check references. All the best.

The paperwork as in the COSC? It is correct for the older models. The newer ones have OP.

On the case back there is a # D2471/2500 that matches the piece of paper but I could not find any other # that matches back the cert , it is unusual ?

That is ok as the straps are made by Hirsh Austria.

The numbers that you should be concerned about are:

The case number: OP6562 - Is it correct for the model and series, i.e. PAM00025 D series matches the sticker and case back
The Serial number of the watch: BB1042487 matches with the sticker and case back
The Millesimation of the watch: D2471/2500 - which is correct as only 2,500 PAM00025 were produced in 2001 and matches the sticker and case back.
The movement number: 230234 - which matches the number on the sticker and COSC and the caseback sticker.

Although these are not conclusive, but it does point in the right direction.

Wow... i overlooked the serial on the sticker , that's alot of good info there ! thanks master hobbit for all the pointers

Actually further probing found that the seller is quite reputable with a long list of trade records , if i get it i will probably send it in for verification for a peace of mind.

As i got deeper into watches , i realized it wasn't Ball watches i'm obsessed with, it is actually Tritium ...lol :Laughing_on_floor:

I did some googling & found another brother from the same batch on the internet. This guy has got the watch taken apart , the movement doesnt look very appealing.

borrowed pix from this guy here

100% fake.......

Which 1 are you referring to ? the movement or the picture of the watch I posted earlier ?
Cause the pix of the movement is a borrowed picture fr the Internet and it is NOT the actual movement of the watch I have my eyes on

Don't think Panerai QC messed up. Panerai messed up. They made 150 of these watches. Even gave a different movement reference for it.
