I am a 16570 owner, considered the 216570 and toyed with it at the AD

Like all new Rolexes it is too big and bling for my taste, and I hate those fat hands.

Most of all I cannot tahan the ROLEX ROLEX ROLEX thing on the rehaut....so I guess ill never buy a new generation Rolex of any kind  ;D

It's not that bad actually. Sits very well on my risk, it was running at +8sec/day, but I got RSC to regulate it down, now its +1/per day accordinhg to my seiko quartz. Bracelet is improved and feels more solid. Easylink is a useful addition.

Yeah, agree that the bracelet is so much better than before, and I do like that orange hand compared to the old red one.

I tried it on, but just couldnt connect with it that time....I suspect it will look great on a nice strap

Maybe should try again hehe

Ya ka bro..polish off.....interesting

Hahaha, but if I send it back for service at the AD they will just replace with another, like how if u remove the cyclops they will put one back? And then give you a lecture about unauthorised mods  :Laughing_on_floor:

When the printed rehaut came out a few years ago (was it 2007???) a lot of people complained about Rolex spoiling the look. But if you read TRF, Timezone etc nowadays, hardly a whisper of this complain anymore. Yes, geeting used to is one factor, but the likely reason is that the ROLEXROLEXPOLEX print is not done in a different colour like say black or (worse) green. Most of the time they are not easily noticed and most of the time failed to be notice. I won't even bother polishing them off.

I have owned a few EXII before, someone when come to EXII, I tend to like the white face, maybe I have gotten too many black face dial like GMT or Sub. The 216570 definitely looks stunning with orange hand, and the luminova in blue is really pretty. But it is slightly too big again for a small wrist like mine, but then once you compare to Panerai, it is still considered reasonable and not too big. I am quite impressed with this 216570, and Rolex finally done something for EX-II, especially they have done upgrade to GMT and Sub, so it is naturally something is done to face lift this EXII. Now we have more options.

As you can see from my pic above, I got the one with black dial. After I got my watch (from HK), my brother-in-law saw it, got hooked and went searching for one. I think he bought one from the Rolex Boutique down at Pavilion, but he bought the one with white dial because the black was sold out. Comparing the 2, yes, I have to agree with you that the white has its merit -super legibility!!!!

You must have very good eyesight as I  have a hard time seeing the ROLEXROLEX print. The fat hands were a little funny at first as well, but I seem to have grown to it. The hands look more "correct" on the white dial than the black one. The real plus is the orange hand.

I think in the updated Rolex range, the 216570 is the least "blingy".

Incoming perhaps???

Concur. The hands need to be fatter to balance out the increased dial size and heck, the maxi dial and hands of the various ceramic sprt Rolexes are not that much smaller I should think.Yes,the orange hand ticksmmy box :thumbsup:The rehaut is too inconspicious to be worth mentioning really

I was comparing16570 with216570 side by side before I pulled trigger on 16570.

My wrist is small and 16570 fit better.
The GMT 2nd hour hand is longer till it could cover the hour marker. It's easier to tell 2nd time.
Then, the final and decisive difference is that 216570 preowned price is RM 5k more than 16570. :Laughing_on_floor:

That's why I choose 16570. Cos I can make good use of the RM 5k to buy some bink blink for my wife-always remember this rule "A happy wife makes a happy family"!
