The Seikos which I sold
« on: August 30, 2012, 07:29:26 PM »
I was going through my picture folders and found the pics of some of the Seikos which I sold sometime ago.

The 1st pic is that of the 6r15 Alpinist which I sold to a Thai seiko fan. I hope he's enjoying it......

The 2nd pic is that of an all-original 6105 diver which I sold to a local buyer who was addicted to Seiko divers (like I was). The crown could still be locked as designed. All gaskets and the crystal were replaced by Thong Sia. The strap was an original Tropic 19m rubber strap. I sure miss this beauty......... :'( :'( :'(

The 3rd pic is that of a Grand Quartz from the 1970's. When the crown is pulled to the time-setting position, the second hand immediately swings to the 12 o'clock position.......the magic of Seiko!!!!

The 4th pic is that of a Seiko sport with the not often seen 6319 21J movement.

The last pic is that of an SQ 7548 quartz diver, similar to the watch worn by Norman Schwarzkopf during Operation Desert Storm in 1991.

Then finally, there was this Seiko 7A28 chronograph from 1987. As some of you may know, this (together with the 7A38 and 7A48 variants) was perhaps one of the most over engineered chronographs ever produced by Seiko. It was very accurate, keeping almost the same time with the 8 o'clock RTM news clock for almost an entire year I recall. This watch was sold to this friendly chap in Barcelona Spain working in the Spanish entertainment + media business. Being also a Barca fan, he offered to hook me up with Messi and Xavi if I ever visited him in Barcelona. Maybe I should hold him to his promise soon....
