Good high-end watches with ETA movements

With the ever increasing price of service costs for watches with in-house movements, I would like to raise this question to the forum. What is the best value-holding watch with an ETA movement? All I can think of is Tudor and IWC Pilot and Aquatimer series. Come on guys. Help all the newbies to get affordable watches with low service maintenance but has the best bang for their buck when they want to sell. It will help seasoned watch collectors also. Every feedback is appreciated.

On the resale part...  Pam 000, 005, 111 would be the best bet due to demand & supply...

   The above rm 12k -16k sector would be Pam manual wind ,  around rm5k would Ball n Oris or Longines,. just my opinion fr tony

hi all,
as beginner, i think the far can go is about 5K watches first
maybe oris, ball or worse a second hand omega (i think still can go)

the the feeling is like taking 1 bullet go hunting. u shoot, what u get is only once, nice or not, good or not that depand on you, the second shoot, haha sure need to wait.

hahaha for 10K above it really killing leave to intermidiate.

I forgot about the older PAMs not being in-house. As for the 5k range, between Oris and Ball..I think Oris takes a bigger hit on the second hand value.

What about the Omega Valjoux Seamaster Chronodiver? Is it expensive to service? I know the resale on that is pretty decent.

If we are talking about high-end, I would say that the starting price should be above rm10k right?

I am not an expert on servicing. I have been lucky that I only had to send 1 watch in but I can understand your predicament. My personal experience is budget 10% of the watch price for servicing the watch every 5 years. My modified ETA 2892 was running 5 minutes fast a day in just 2 years and the repair cost was very close to that. I was lucky I did not have to pay anything because it was under warranty. In hindsight I would have still paid because I want peace of mind. I will be paranoid that they will do something wrong after reading horror stories online (especially over polishing). Indeed ETA movements make it cheaper and easier to service but do your research and BUYER BEWARE!!!!

I can think of Tudor for the high-end and Oris and Ball for the mid-range at the moment.
Not sure of B&R, but I think they may be in the category too.
