« on: August 11, 2012, 05:38:57 AM »
 Sweet...............clean dial.

If you're wondering; no, I do not own this and neither do I have any info on it. Just stumbled upon the photo in Tumblr. Just sharing it over here.

Anyone with info on the watch, please share.

Very interesting indeed. Is it a quartz or mechanical?

Is this really a Seiko? shouldn't the roman numeral for 4 be "IV" and not "IIII"???

How could the company make a mistake?!?

4 doesn't have to be IV. IIII is also acceptable...

Hi Meor,

There is no mistake. The Rolex Day-Date Platinum (among other rolex with Roman numerals) also display IIII instead of IV. Likewise, you will find it on some Stowa Marine models and I believe I have seen it on Mido as well.

IMHO, one of the reasons why IIII is used, instead of IV, is for better aesthetic balance, because right opposite IV / IIII is the long VIII.
