Magellan 1521 - What do you think?
« on: July 20, 2012, 03:11:33 PM »
Am strangely conflicted on this watch (the Magellan 1521) - to pull the trigger or not? What do you think - would you or wouldn't you?

Would appreciate any feedback ... Thanks in advance

i had something similar but a swatch, for collection not for daily use.

Didn't Svend Andersen have a watch like this years ago...?
Personal taste and preferences evolve over years, hopefully not 1 full circle otherwise it means we haven't learnt a single thing.

Those were my feelings exactly. Might be a case of being a pleasure to own, but not a watch that you could wear outside without a "thick skin". Unfortunate really  :(

Thanks for the input kenixck  :)

I had to google "Svend Andersen" as I had never heard about him before. My oh my, some racy designs there (on the backs of watches admittedly)  :o  you want to see for yourself, do a google image search on "Svend Andersen".

However, his other designs prove that there are some fantastic watches coming out of small boutique watch makers. See the Timezone article at http://people.timezone.com/library/wbore/wbore631880277237187500. Thanks for introducing Svend Andersen to me JOS2012.
