received an wedding dinner invitation.... so was thinking since its been quite some times i never been to teluk intan
so 2 weeks ago i took this opportunity to go with my family....
went upwards earlier and shoot up to gunung rapat for a quick lunch
was thinking to revisit the Gay Poh laksa (purposely come all the way for my wife favorite )opposite the wet market, unfortunately the owner father sick so not open!
alternatively... go to this coffee shop that sell good yong tau fu.... not the hakka type (salty, fat pork, oily, with salted fish) but the fish paste type...
the kwong fung kopitiam - as usual, u choose what yong taufu u like n order the type of noodle u like
i got myself this
laksa hor fun.... while my wife opt for asam laksa
asam laksa is so so, but the laksa hor fun with the paku pakis is fantastic....
especially if u like pucuk paku pakis like me!
then after buying the heong bang for my wife colleague.... we move towards teluk intan, if my stomach got space, i will sure stop at kampar for chu cheong fun and bread chicken
just an hour ++..... reached teluk intan, after check in... i go out to hunt for food again
the famous rojak chye near the wet market....
so so to my liking.... lack of punch, i prefer stronger taste rojak maybe! but favorite in town... can sell non stop from morning to late afternoon.... n my wife like it
since not satisfy with this.... then i go to the famous mee rebus
near the menara condong.... maslan & ghani??? cant remember well the restaurant name .... but it has 2 shop in a row.... very popular, even u follow the crowd u will see it...
first bite, im not impress... i remember it is better last time....
oops.... 2nd bite and chew.... i got it.... its the keropok that makes the different....
the full of shrimp keropok that u chew together with the mee that make it stands out... so appetizing...
love the teh tarik as well.... creamy and jus little too sweet!
cant imagine i can still eat at 5pm + while wedding dinner going to start at 7pm
the next day early morning... i go to the local favorite food heaven street
not to forget is this
if u never eat this famous chee cheong fun = u never come to teluk intan
forever tasty with sauce... but with the green vinegered chili... yum yum
next - the white and yellow glutinous rice with curry and char siew...
the economy meehun stall.... but no longer economy
then the not so honest taufu far.... FxxK ! despite good but the boss son charge me more knowing im tourist!!!
charge me rm1 instead of rm0.80... even it is stated rm0.8 on price board
after buying some tiger brand heong bang.... i went for this chinese mee rebus and asam laksa next to the big cinema
the mee rebus is not as good as mamak the day before, but seems most chinese prefer this....
laksa is ok but not as good as those in penang to me....
so pls share if u know teluk intan have more food, so next time i will go for it...
ya... i got no stomach space for the nasi kandar..... wish i can bring 2 stomach there...
when u go back to KL, u can always try the real kampung chicken made salted chicken at sungkai!!!
before home.... bring some1 stay in kl 30 yrs but never into this for a walk
spotted this long hair lady...
