Been searching for a dress watch, shortlisted Patek, Lange and JLC. Yesterday went for final round of testing. almost decided to get the Lange 1 but no stock for pink gold model. Finally bought this JLC Master Calendar 2013 in Pink gold which i found value for money with triple date and moonphase.

The latest JLC Master Calendar 2013 comes with 39mm diametre and 10.6 mm thickness. both slightly smaller and thinner than the previous model. the dial is silvered sunray-brushed which look clean and class.

Ha Ha, I also tried to classfy it as "investment" but in fact it is a "luxury toy" that, though hold value better than car, still depreciate in value the moment you walk out from the Boutique. Just to pamper myself sometimes..

it looks more formal than my old WG Master Moon which hasn't been worn in awhile..(some old pictures for comparison)
Newer date fonts and second hand markers.
Master Moon is on cal 891/448/2 vs the new Master Calendar cal 866 but all locations and even the movt looks d same
Your Master Calendar is slightly smaller than the previous Master Calendar that enkidu has but slightly larger than the Master Moon which is only 37mm.

Perhaps I shld have gone for PG too.
All this time I've avoided YG/PG, preferring platinum or WG but the PG does suit the new Master Calendar

Yeah, just very subtle difference in the dial. you have kept your watch in good shape bro, and it comes with hinged case back . not available in the new version probably JLC want to cost down (it even do away with the folding buckle, just the pin buckle) and the addtional cost to order that folding buckle is a whopping RM10,000

This folding buckle is RM 10K ??     How much gold can there be in that little folding deployant ?    madness. It used to be abt RM 5K.....which was already ridiculous..
hmm should I put it up for sale and use a cheap JLC pin buckle instead...

The next JLC gtg will have to wait till maybe Nov/Dec.
Anyway most of the GS enthusiasts are also JLC collectors...

Exactly! even Lange folding buckle is "only" around RM5k. dunno what JLC is after....

This is what triggered my last acquisition..

When I saw this model in Kuching and as a huge bonus, it was the black titanium Limited Edition version, I knew I just couldn't let it pass.

Finally !!! Been hunting this for months .... !!!
