There are a couple of pre-loved shops along Zhongxiao East Road as well. As for food, check out ShiMenDing and the night markets, e.g. Shilin night market for one. Would like to bring you around but I will be busy shifting house next week.

If you have friends in Taiwan, you can perhaps use their account, much like what I am doing as I can't register as well.

While I never been there nor bought anything from them, their selection, based on webpage, looks pretty good
