« on: November 18, 2009, 07:42:42 AM »

i dont like over designed and ugly crown guard actually....
thats why i do not like something like below, u guys like it?

hamilton khaki navy frogman

ap ro t3

but ball engineer hydrocarbon is something something i like, good function, easy to handle and good looking...

it match the overall design of the watch, well balance

Hey Chris you forgot the AP Survivor haha...now thats a crown guard.
I always wonder how Jarno Trulli wears his while piloting a F1 car.

Honestly, whether or not with crown guard, if my watch "kena" bang....my heart already bleeding gao gao even though the crown is firmly intact to the watch  :HammerHead:

So, the crown guard to me is just a design, a fashion really as long as it don't make me feel uncomfortable while wearing it ;)

These are exaggerated crown guards. Simple ones like Rolex will do nicely. When ur watch is banged hard against the surface, there will be dints and scratches, with crown guard @ least the winding stem is not bended. Heart will definitely feels the pain but not as pain when u see a crooked winding stem :)

Over elaborated design. I agree the original crown guards by Ball and PAM are impressive. Being the original helps.
