i like it too.... cool way of using the bezel.

now just for future dial and colour variations that would suit my fancy. just wishing that they might come in S/S too in the future.

on the hindsight.. the new YM and Sub looks cool

now lets see if the preowned prices of our humble 14060 would rise like the 16610

looks like the 4 lined 14060M would be in production the least. so anyone rushing to buy the rehaut 14060M ?

So the 4 lines 14060M becomes the most short-lived sub huh?

So the 4 lines 14060M becomes the most short-lived sub huh?

It is the most short lived modern Submariner.

6204 1953-1955
6205 1953-1957 (some books 1953-1955)
6536 small crown 1955-1958
6538 large crown 1955-1958
6536-1 chronometer 1957-1961
6538 chronometer 1957-1961
5508 1958-1959 (some books 1958-1965)
5510 1958-1959 (some books 1958-1965)
5512 COSC 1959-1978 (some books 1959-1970)
5513 1962-1990 (some books 1962-1989)
14060 1989-1999
14060M 1999-2007 (aka 2 line)
14060M COSC 2007-2012 (aka 4 line)

The 14060M COSC is the only other COSC Submariner since the 5512. Its 5 years life span makes it the shortest lived modern Submariner, followed by the 14060M at 6 years.

The chart does not include the COMEX and military issued Submariners, reference 5514 and 5517.

unless is a rolex marketing strategy preparing for a sky-dweller 2   ::)
like a explorer 1 & 2
gmt master 2 kinda thing

when they use name dweller i was expecting a deep sea + gmt-master 2 =  well maybe
a deep sky dweller in 2013 :Laughing_on_floor:

I think the person who designed this Sky-Dweller must have been really up among the clouds.

Yes, this feature caught my attention too. Now Rolex finally has caught up with Grand Seiko.  ;D Anyway, we can b$@*& about this "Penduduk Langit" as much as we like, but if you go through the sites to check the price, I am sure it's going to cost a nuclear bomb. Hmmmm.......maybe I should settle for a watch with more features and cost less, like this.....

One word...starts with a U and ends with a Y

Not my cup of tea...

Soemthing is wrong with the dials..looks too busy..and lack of purpose.

But then again..one man's meat is another man's poison..

These super rich sportsmen (Tiger wood included) were paid for advertising the watch and get it for free. We, on the other hand, who are not rich or so rich has to pay for it. The rich just get richer  :'(

I agree w master terence n gloomis. Rolex has a full team of highly talented ppl to come up w the new range. I think over time, ppl will like it though many may not afford or ve willing to pay for it.
I think in gold( white or yellow), it be stunning. I like it.

Not really, the 14060M it will go on for only about 50 hours (maximum) after you are dead and motionless. If it still goes on beating after that, then someone else (hopefully your rightful heir) is wearing it. I remember watching a documentary on Josef Mengele (that nut case Nazi doctor) who died in South America. His watch (not a rolex, but a seiko) is kept in some government / police archive  and it still runs.
