New To Forum
« on: March 07, 2012, 12:15:37 PM »
Hi everyone!

Just want to say hi and introduce myself! I started collecting watches since 2001 this is my collection so far:
Rolex Oyster Perpetual DateJust Turn-O-Graph 2001
JLC Master Compressor Geographic 2004
Tag Heuer Carrera Calibre 16 2006
Rolex Deep Sea 2009
IWC Portuguese 7 Days 2011
thinking about getting a GP Laureto Evo Moonphase with white dial within these few weeks....you can see the purchase year of each watches shortened significantly with every watch...this is getting dangerous ::)....anyway looking forward to get to know you guys!

Thanks Scott!
I have heard that people claim Malaysia to be the watch capital of the world, is this true? I was just wondering since initially I thought Hong Kong was the one but then I found this forum so I guess the number of watch aficionados in Malaysia must be significant!

Welcome to Malaysia Watch Forum. I can see that your watch collection is growing at a healthy and accelerating pace.
I don't think M'sia can be called the watch capital of the world by a long shot.
According to this report by the Federation of Swiss Watch Industry, Hong Kong is by far the largest importer of Swiss watches in 2011, commanding more than 21% of the world market. Unfortunately M'sia is no where to be seen.
