Cape Code Polish Cloth

Hi All,

Anyone knows where I can buy Cape Code polish cloth locally? Or recommend any alternative to DIY polish out scratches on my watches?

Maybe Lim can help He is the only one so far i know in this forum who used cape code polish cloth before and the result according to him wasn't bad

The result is good but it can't remove hairline scratches as it in itself creates hairline scratches. If you want to remove hairline scratches then you have to buy finer micron polish cloth which is sold overseas. You can order thru ebay or contact the seller in the forum. I remember seeing them in Timezone. Do a search. I bought my Cap Code cloth in Sg.

Have you read the article posted by Danny? Those wears and tears give extra value to your watches

Honestly, some hair lines are good as long as no deep scratches

I remember someone in TZ posted a tutorial how to use cape code maybe you can check or search on it or maybe you have already seen it before

cape code cloth just designed for polished case...
just a reminder... if u rub it on a brushed/beat blasted surface.... then it will become more shining....

some watches designed to look tough....

so if bling watch.. no problem of using cape code cloth to polish lah...

Thanks for the all the feedback. Have asked a friend in SG to look for the cloth.

So, I guess there is nothing we can get locally in M'sia for polishing our watches...

Have to source from overseas then...

u can try out those super-fine sand paper, no. 1600 and above. it will give u mirror finishings after a few rubs (very light, even pressure).
or go to dxisho n get a piece of silver finish cloth at rm5. (can be found at the counter)

but i think sand paper give better result.

ACE hardware shop hv alot of all these superfine sand paper, for bracelet can use no. 800-1000, 1200-1400 for brush/satin finished metal (not bead blast), for glossy 1600-1800 (when u hold the sand paper u would know it is super fine, and soft). as for the micron cloth, u can get it cheaply at the japanese RM5 shop - DAISHO, the curve / puchong ioi mall / sg wang.

Many thanks for the advice. Have tried using the 1200 sand paper on my brush ss cases and it managed to remove 90% of the scratches
