I have for sale a Precista PRS-5. This is a reissue of the original (with improvements) Precista watch issued to the British military. The watch is fitted with the Seagull ST-19 chronograph movement.
A bit of history on the ST-19 chronograph movement:
"The Seagull factory has been manufacturing movements since 1955. The ST-19 is a 19 jewel column-wheel chronograph, allegedly identical to the Venus 175 movement and made on the same machinery, which the Chinese acquired when the Venus 175 went out of production. Others claim that the Seagull was simply reverse-engineered from the Venus and the argument continues over which story is correct: either way, the fact remains that the design retains all durability of the original Venus."
What we know is that each and every movement that is used in the Precista PRS-5 has been checked by the watch makers at TimeFactors the makers of the Precista watches.
Basic specs:
Case: 316L stainless steel, 41 mm across the face (crown included), 37 mm top to bottom
Crystal: acrylic, high dome
Water resistant: 5 ATM
Lume: SuperLuminova C3 hands and dial
The watch will come with the original brown pilot design leather strap and I will include another cloth strap. The watch will come in the original Banda leather travel box but no papers. The watch is original. The version that I have comes with the solid case back and not the display back.
