bwee,
I think you need to think long & hard on whether u intend to keep the watch for a long time or u will eventually flip it.
If u think that u will flip it to move on to a higher level eventually, then the Rollie is the most practical choice as it is easily tradeable.
At the same time u must remember that u r the one who will be looking at the watch everyday for the next few yrs (hopefully) and whether the watch 'speaks' to you or not is also important.
No one can speak for you as all our tastes are different. I had 4 Rollies and all of them have been replaced by Jaegers...not that I am right or the rest are wrong... I just didnt like wearing a watch that was produced closed to a million a year and paying such a high premium..not to mention having every other person that I knew having one..(real or fake being another matter)..I still have no regret selling off all the Rollies..You must also remember that your taste changes over time... To me I'm over the Rollie stage not that its not a good watch...
At this stage in my life a Lange, PP, GO, selected higher end JLCs & Grand Seikos lights my fire...
Even if everyone recommends a brand no matter which, you must first fall in love with it ..unless you are not sure of what you want yourself in which case, I would recommend that you wait until you see a watch in the metal that you really really lust after...
