How loud should a rotating rotor be?
« on: February 04, 2012, 06:45:51 PM »
Guys and girls of MWF,

Hello and good day! Want to ask sifus here a simple question.

I just sent my Baume Mercier classimo for service, still under warranty. It was changing date at 3 am. Now ok and back to midnight sharp. Keeping good time.

However i noticed the rotating rotor in the watch makes noise louder than usual i.e. louder than before service. Kreeeeeekkkkk..... Kreeeekkkk.....   ;D

Quite audible when in the library. Hahaha.

Anyone had this experience? Other than this i have no problems with the watch.

Thanks for any inputs.

Since you just had it serviced by the service center, why don't you send it back for a check up?

I noticed it when i picked it up..

Asked the sales lady about it. She recommends i use for a week or two first, and if i still feel uncomfortable, i can resend again.

She was so pretty that i ended up listening to her suggestions.  :Laughing_on_floor:

I can live with it though. Just thought i might ask you guys if you've had similar experience.

Thanks .

Jupp them pretty ladies makes us go "Me Tarzan, You Jane". Maybe the oils needs to settle but if the sound is loud I would worry about the harm its doing to the watch while it's getting into the grove. Better send it as often as possible while its free since afterwards it could make a dent in your wallet...
