Shipping watches overseas

I just sent a watch to Singapore via Registered Mail. This is the first time I am sending a watch overseas. When I was shipping it, the post office gave me a registered mail sticker / bar code to put on the parcel, I put the stamps on the parcel and that's that.

After I came home, I was wondering if I have missed something out. I checked the other parcels that I received from my oversea purchases and I noticed that they all had Customs Declaration Forms filled in and pasted on the parcels. But when I was sending the watch to Singapore, the post office officer never mentioned or gave me any customs forms to fill. Should I be worried? Will my parcel reach its destination safely and without delay?

Can anyone share their experience in sending watches overseas using Registered Mail (or other shipping methods)?

normally the freight company will ask u wat's inside so they can do the declaration for you. I have send various items to Singapore, e.g. DVD, harddisk, and some computer parts, no problem. But I didn't use Pos Malaysia, I normally use DHL or Fedex. I give up on Pos Malaysia.

The post office officer did ask me what the content was. I hope she fills in the form for me.

How do you send using DHL or FedEx? I mean, where do you go to ship them? At the post office or at FedEx office?

Yes better use Fedex or DHL , they are most reputable courier co in the world..spend a bit to make sure your stuff is safe...cheers bro
