i had similar issue with my quartz TAG.

It could be due to the circuit board and battery leakage. Getting it serviced in AD is more expensive but I think it worth it. I had my serviced by TAG and its in good condition. They even changed some hands FOC

May be yr wife coking rice and caught the steam in the watch  :Laughing_on_floor: just kidding

You can send to Omega SC for inspection and the quote, if the price is not okay, you can just walk out. At least they can tell you what went wrong with FOC.

Got the same issue yesterday (what a coincidence) also with one of my mechanical watch, suddenly saw steam in it but luckily, still moves...what i do was (while i was in the office), i left my watch beside my laptop facing the fan that blow hot air; surprisingly steam got cleared

still, i think the watch needs some repair...
good luck in yours...

best thing to do is to bring it back to Swatch Group in Wisma Goldhill as suggested by besview. I send all my Omegas there, better safe than sorry. Normally, if there is water vapor inside the glass, it could have gotten in when it was unscrewed to adjust time or date and your wife may have forgotten to screw it back tightly. Alternatively, there are other watch repair shops such as Watches of Switzerland. I haven't tried them before though...

Hey ston3r, do you mind telling me what kind of prices one should expect for standard maintenance service by Swatch Group for, say, an Omega Speedmaster Professional, please?

I have had some experiences with Omega SC at Wisma Goldhill, and I dare say that the experiences had been largely positive (although there could be some waiting times as the crowd could be big at times). Mostly likely a case of water vapour and since it was a quartz, best to get it checked out for peace of mind.
