At 48mm, it's definitely a no-go for me...
Here's hoping for a spitfire chronograph using the same movement but smaller case diameter...  ;D

Cant wait to see the new Big Pilot. The current one is a little small on my wrist even at 46mm.

Newer models tend to be bigger and bigger. The best size for me is 40 to 42 mm. I'm still happy with my 3717.
Let wait and see the new pilot chronograph.

Damn even IWC is riding the fake patina lume wagon now.

And it says new in house calibre. I am guessing rm40k retail at least.

I'm fully satisfied with my 3717  :)

The price for in-house movement would be sky high...

Yes, just the word "made in-house" will fetch a premium compared with out-source parts from ETA or other movement manufacturer.

I am guessing (basing on current Portugese chronograph) the retail price in the region of rm30~35k for in-house non-rattrapante chronograph

Ok I'm looking into this very seriously, and would like to educate myself on this a bit further before deciding.
I'm currently looking into the 3717s, they nicely fall within budget and sure beats a Tag Carrera (initial option) by a flying mile. I know current prices are significantly higher than what it was a couple of years ago, but I'm assuming another hike will happen with the 3777. Question is: get 3717, or wait for 3777?

Thanks!

I suppose you want it cheaper and fast, get 3717 otherwise u probably wait half a year or so for 3777 to arrive at little discount price. Most probably you will wait for 3777 before making a decision. :)

Gonna go for a 3717. AD said the 3777 would be a couple of grand more at least and have to wait. Also I prefer the 3717's less cluttered face, and I think my math is good enough to calculate yesterday's and tomorrow's date.

Anyone know where's the best place to get it, with the best rates? PM please. Thanks in advance.
